The wisdom card isn't clear about whether we choose a deliverance card to apply, or if we shuffle them and pick one randomly.I've been shuffling, but wanted confirmation.

i get the deliverance wisdom card, but i did not see any "deliverance" cards yet. It that normal ?

Once you have received the Deliverance Wisdom card, you should take the Deliverance deck then. These are 2 lines that are side by side in the script:
Gain card G (Deliverance Wisdom card).
Gain all cards II-34 L (Deliverance deck).

And after use, the card just goes back to that mini deck - and again all Deliverance cards are immediately available.
