It shoots occasionally.
I think i understand the majority of how these cards work. So pay the amount of intent listed at the top of the card and place in progress zone
If i then want to use the action, i pay the cost listed in the grey circle, intent etc. But i am unsure how this particular card works.
Its an Assault action and states "increase this action range to 2" then roll the luck die
X/- Discard the card
1 = gain 2 Wrath
2 = gain 3 Wrath etc
What I am unclear on is say for example, I want to perfom an assault action 2 spaces away (I only have 1 range currently) which requires 4 wrath so will gamble and use this progress card to see if I can get the extra. I pay the intent to use the action on the progress card (this case 2 cunning), I then pay 1 wrath as the action, If I fail the roll and get X or less to make 4, do i still lose the 1 intent card or because I didn't make the 4 action cost? or does this remain in my hand and I only lose the 2 cunning that was used to take the action.
I know there is a lot going on in my explanation but just unsure.
Thanks.
U can use wrath with both progresscards and influence and the luck die afterwards. In you example u started with placing an influence card and then used the progress .
If u reverse your actions , use the progress cards first then see if u can make it or not . In the case that u cant ,u stop with the rest of the action not losing your card .
If u happen to get one short from influence and progress cards and decide to use the luck die and u fail u do lost every card used in the action .
