Need a bit of clarification.
the rules state that we can have multiple identical active progress cards, by the effects don’t always stack.
does that mean that the effects only stack of the cards explicitly state they stack?
or that you can only utilise a single progress card in a given turn, therefor rendering the second iteration redundant.
if that’s the case, does it mean, for example, that the specialist cannot simultaneously use the shot gun and steam bomb on the same attack turn?
or would this restriction only apply to progress cards with a defined cost. so free cards can double up. E.g. having two analysis progress cards active increases your hand total to 8?
how have other people interpreted this?
Yaw, the effects don't always stack, because most effects (at least the ones I'm thinking of) are an action. Therefore, they're activated under certain situations. For example, Peculiar State of Acceleration is a Yellow Progress card with an action that costs 1 Yellow that allows you to move 2 spaces. If you had two of those Progress cards out, spending 1 Yellow Intent doesn't double the effect, since that one Intent only goes towards one action.
I haven't encountered a case where identical Progress cards would stack. Have you? What is the exact wording on Analysis?
To your latter questions, you can definitely use more than one Progress card in one Turn (or Round).
