From my experience so far it appears to me that for most dreams there is just one "correct" solution. As mentioned in the intro they are like mini escape rooms.
So you must resolve certain actions and/or meet other fixed criteria to gain a "Victory".
You cannot try out different strategies any of which might yield success. You could not restart the dream from scratch do something different and still make it to the end.
(The only exception to this rule seems to be how to deal with entities. But here there feels mostly there are just two choices kill quick or kite, the optimal depending on the dream.)
This for me is a significant failing.
However since I am playing solo it might just be that I am playing wrong and/or be missing something if playing with multiple chars.
Please let me know if my impression is right or wrong.
Been playing 2-man and 3-man groups, and so far (maybe 10-12 dreams in) it does seem like what you're saying is correct. I did expect the dreams to be a bit more varied with higher replayability, but since we usually complete all, or at least all obvious secrets, I don't think I'll do the dreams from the beginning again.
Don't get me wrong though, I love the game, and even if it's only gonna be 1 or 2 playthroughs, I'm happy with it. Just didn't expect it to be so linear.
