Story Tokens

So when you tame a dog the card says to put a Story Token down where you did this. I tamed two dogs so there were two tokens. Nothing seemed to happen to the tokens at any point later in the Dream including the conclusion. Did I miss something otherwise there does not seem any point in placing the tokens?
