spoiler obviously
When it came to searching for the pills, I thought about the place they eventually were, but I tried searching the spaces around it.
Later on, by trial and error the game led me to it.
But I wonder, what was the clue that I missed or dots I should've connected?
Well, I did not think this was a "try until you get it" thing, even though it took me far too long to get to the solution (careful, spoilers): - there is only one space that you cannot go, and one of the texts even hints at it, saying "you need to get there by another way", or something similar - if you use the Diving Suit, your movement is always the move of a Chess Knight (exception might be if you dive into a Water space, but I am not sure). So what you need to do is figure out how to get to the isle (the blocked space) via a Chess Knight move. It's not totally trial and error, you just have to figure out how diving works, first...
This is one of those times where it's hard not to be disappointed in how much of the game is about simply trying every single action until you find the victory script. What happened to the riddles, intuition, logic, etc. promised in the original campaign?
Something more in line with what I wanted...the Director has locked away the thing you need to find, and interviewing the employees give you the clues to make an assumption about where to search.
I noticed that two of the trap tiles i tried sent me in L shape (like knight in chess - two up and one left or two down and one right) so i guessed that the last trap which i didn't try yet might be the one which will send me to that blocked space.
Other than that i didn't notice any hint which tile/space is the correct one.
I think I did all spaces (well space types really, as sone are redondant) but 1... hopefully most give stuufs allowing to keep in going. :)
But yeah, I'd love to have an answer on your question
